Transition morning is Wednesday morning.

Literacy - This week we will be using the text 'The Paper bag Princess'. We will be comparing it to traditional tales, focusing on describing in detail the Princess, Prince and the setting. We will be also be answering some questions based on this book. 

Phonics - Year 2 will be learning the spelling of some homophones and practising their common exception words in dictated sentences.

Year 1 will be adding /ed/ and adding /er/ to words. 

Maths - Year 2 will be describing movements, describing turns and describing movements and turns combined.

Year 1 will be comparing numbers with the same number of 10s, compare any two numbers and then moving on to the new topic of money. We will start with unitising and recognising coins. 

Science - Year 1 will be exploring changes in summer. Year 2 will be exploring what wildlife does for us?

Geography- We will be looking at islands everywhere using aerial views. We will be labelling the oceans.

Computing - Year 1 will be maze explorers. Year 2 will be creating pieces of music suited for particular times.

Design and Technology - We will be sewing our puppets and beginning to attach extra felt to create our puppets. Anyone free Monday afternoon to help please do volunteer.
