This week we are off to the theatre to watch Gruffalo.

Literacy - This week we will be exploring non fiction texts about transport and in particular 'A journey through transport'. We will be watching some clips of transport and writing sentences in past and present tense. We will be researching transport and creating our own fact file. We will also be answering questions about a piece of given text about transport. 

Phonics - Year 2 will be learning the rule where you need to drop the e add est and recapping adding ed, and the rule where you might need to double to consonants and add ed. 

Year 1  will be learning 'choose to use' sounds /gn/ /ore/ and /ey/

Maths- Year 2 will be learning the two times tables, dividing by 2, double and half and also odd and even numbers and how these relate to the two times tables.

Year 1 will be making doubles and near doubles, subtracting using number bonds and subtract by counting back.  

Science - Year 1 will be comparing and grouping animals. Year 2 will be investigation habitats in the local area.

History - We will be finding out about the history of flight by watching a bbc clip and looking at a timeline.

Art - We will be doing some observational drawings this week of wheels of bikes and scooters.

RE - We will be finding out how Jewish people show repentance at Yom Kippur.

Computing - Year 1 will continue with there animated storybooks and year developing their coding skills.
