Maths

Yr 4 - We will be dividing by 100 and then learning to use the formal method to multiply.

Yr 5 - We will continue to practise using the formal method to multiply at least 2digit numbers by 2digts before moving on to the formal method to divide.

 

Literacy

What a great start to our term, we are thoroughly enjoying reading the BFG and did really well with last weeks main and subordinate clauses. This week we will be learning to use fronted adverbials in our writing.

 

Science

Yr 3 - We will be learning how fossils are formed.

Yr 4 - This week we will be looking at the ear and learning how we hear sound.

Yr 5 - To finish our unit on Space, we will learn about the moon.

 

Art

We will complete our fashion designer profiles before thinking about our own designs. We will choose a theme for our designs and begin to create a mood board with ideas.

 

RE

We will look at a range of significant time for Jews such as: Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Passover, Sukkot and Rosh Hashanah. 

 

Computing

Yr 4 - This week we will be learning about rhythm and tempo and creating our own rhythm on Busy Beats.

Yr 5 - We will be creating our own databases.
