This week we will be practising for the Christmas Nativity. All the children have been given their parts and school will provide all the costumes. We have been singing some beautiful songs which I have linked below for the children to practise at home too.

It Was on a Starry Night with Makaton - Singing Hands

We love signing this song - it's a Christmas school concert classic! It's got a lovely pace for signing and features so many signs for the festive season.

In Drawing Club, we will be reading and watching the story of the snowman. We will be drawing The Snowman, The Snowman's house, and inventing a machine to stop the Snowman from melting.

 

 

In maths this week, we will be continuing to explore the composition of numbers to 5 by singing nursery rhymes playing bowling with 5 pins and using 5 frames to find out how many pins have fallen down. We will be paying particular attention to the number 0 and noticing when we have none left this is called 0/zero.
