Happy New Year! We hope you have had a lovely Christmas. We are looking forward to hearing all about your Christmas news.

 

This week in drawing club we will be reading the story 'The Three Little Pigs.' and create a story map of where the pigs lived. We will be introducing new vocabulary such as sinister, cowering, sturdy, hair raising. We will be drawing the the wolf, the pigs house, a gadget to help destroy the house and catching the wolf and making him into a pie. We will be using our code words and passcodes to make funny things happen.

 

We will be building the pigs houses out of different materials and finding out which material is the best.

 

In phonics this week, we will be recapping the sounds we have already learnt and segmenting and blending lots of CVC words.

 

In maths we will be introducing zero, finding, subitising and representing the umbers 0-5.
