Parents Meeting about PGL Residential - We are holding a parents meeting on Thursday 3,20pm in Ash Class. This will inform you about our residential to PGL after Easter. We will provide you with all the information and answer any questions. Everyone will be given a booklet with a full kit list, itinerary and consent forms. If you are unable to make the meeting your child will be given the booklet to bring home.

 

Maths

Yr 4 - We will be starting a new unit on Decimals. We will be learning to identify tenths as fractions and decimals and identify numbers using a place value grid. 

Yr 5 - We will continue with our Perimeter and Area unit, calculating area of rectangles and compound shapes.

 

Literacy

This week we will be exploring features of a playscript and begin to plan our BFG scripts.

 

Science

Yr 3 - We will be exploring shadows.

Yr 4 - Using the electrical equipment, we will investigate materials that are conductors and insulators.

Yr 5 -  Continuing with our Life cycles, we will learn about the gestation periods of mammals.

 

This week is British Science Week. Throughout the week we will come off timetable to complete some scientific challenges and investigations.
