A few reminders:
Tuesday - Yr 4 have Forest School
Thursday - World Book Day. This year we are having a Roald Dahl theme. You can choose to come dresses up as a character from a Roald Dahl story or a character from one of your other favourite books. Dressing up is optional, if you don't fancy it then just wear school uniform. Please bring in your favourite book(s) to share with us throughout the day.
Maths
Yr 4 - This week we will finish our Fractions unit. We will be subtracting fractions and subtracting from a mixed number.
Yr 5 - To finish the unit, we will be learning about percentages and looking at the equivalents between fractions, percentages and decimals.
Literacy
We will continue to read some more of the BFG and then learning about Standard English v Non-Standard English. We will look at the language the the BFG uses and convert his 'gobblefunk' into Standard English. We will also revisit using apostrophes for possession and contraction.
Science
Yr 3 - We will be learning about the sun and how we see.
Yr 4 - This week we will be getting the electricity equipment out and learning the different components. We will be learning how to build and draw a series circuit. We will try to identify what is wrong when circuits don't work.
Yr 5 - We will be continuing with our human life cycle and learning about adolescence and puberty.

This week we will be working in our groups to research and plan our own savoury snack.

Computing
Yr 4 - Continuing with our Powerpoints, we will revisit how to insert images and learn how to add a hyperlink/video to our slides.
Yr 5 - We will be using PurpleMash to explain what a computer simulation is and plan an algorithm to model the sequence of traffic lights.
