This week is normal!!

Yr 5's have Forest School on Tuesday. 

Maths

Yr 4 - We will be starting our new unit on Time. We will be converting between analogue and digital clocks and then converting to and from 24hr.

Yr 5 - Continuing with our Position and Direction unit, we will be learning how to translate shapes and lines of symmetry.

 

Literacy

Continuing with our biographies on Sir David Attenborough, we will be editing our paragraphs, ensuring we have used colon, brackets and a range of different sentence starters. We might even start publishing them if we have time.

 

Science

Yr 3 - We will be checking up on the progress of our sunflowers and measuring their growth as well as looking at a variety of seeds

Yr 4 - We will be starting our new unit all about Digestion. We will begin with learning about teeth.

Yr 5 - We will be learning about the reproductive parts of plants.

 

RE

Our key questions:

• What are the Five Pillars of Islam?
• How does the pillar of SALAH make a Muslim feel they belong to a single community?

Computing

Yr 4 - We will be exploring methods that introduce loops in coding. 

Yr 5 - We will be adding features to customise our game world and write clear instructions that set the scene to our games.

 

Art

We will begin to make our sculptures for our plinths. Please rememebr to bring in a small cardboard box.
