This week is safer internet week and we will be having assemblies about it. The theme this week is 'All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online'.

This week we are reading the story 'The Enormous Turnip.' We will have lots of different writing challenges about this story. Can the children write a list of fruit and vegetables? Can they write a sentence to match the story?

We will also be making our own vegetable soup. We will be exploring different fruits and vegetables and our bakery will be transformed into a fruit and veg shop where the children can buy, sell and take orders.

 

In maths, we are learning about 1 more and 1 less, matching 6,7 and 8, making pairs, and combining 2 groups together.

In phonics this week we are starting to learn phase 4. Phase 4 teaches children to blend and segment longer words with adjacent consonants.
