w/b 6th June

Literacy - This week we will be writing about what we have been doing over half term and if we did anything for the jubilee. We will be writing a job application to be a pirate and a diary pretending we are a pirate using past tense. We will be also be reading the Bluebird and the Robot. 

 

Maths - Year 2 we will be working on money. We will be creating a shop to show our adding and subtraction skills. We will be making the amount in different ways. Also we will be solving word problems.

 

Year 1 - 

 

Phonics - Year 2 will be completing some 60 second reads while revising our phonics. 

 

Year 1 - 

 

Topic- We will be finding out about the oceans and seas around the world, watching some clips from Blue planet. 

 

Science - Year 1 will be observing the plants growing at the moment  and planting some of their own and year 2 looking at world habitats and starting to grow some beans and cress in order to compare the speed of growth. 

 

Computing - Year 2 will be working on effective searching and year 1 will be presenting ideas.
