w/b 6th December

Here we are, with 2 more school weeks to go until the very end of term! Everyone has worked so hard this half term. Not to mention learning our school play... it has been a very busy time and we are so nearly ready for a break. This week, we will continue to work hard every morning with our literacy, maths and reading with performances in the afternoons on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday is a normal day with PE kits please. And Friday is Christmas jumper day!

Spellings for this week

Literacy: This week, we are going to begin by thinking about how Winter makes us feel, thinking about our 5 senses. We will then be answering questions on a poem before using dictionaries and alphabetical order. We are going to be writing our own winter poems by the end of the week.

Wednesday - dictionary work and alphabetical order

Thursday - Plan our winter senses poems

Friday - Write up our winter senses poem

Maths: We are still practising our times tables this week. Click below for multiplication wheels worksheets to complete if you still need practise.

We are going to complete a series of problems this week linked to the maths we have been learning for the last few weeks.

Monday - 'Do you want to build a snowman?'

Tuesday - 'Snowflakes all around'

Wednesday - 'Wrap up warm'

Thursday - 'Dashing through the snow'

Friday - 'Special delivery'
