Welcome to the first week back in Maple Class as Year 3. Our main aim for this week is to share our holiday stories, agree our new class rules, establish our new routines, begin our new topic all about the Stone Age and get stuck back into reading, writing and maths. Are you ready?!
If you haven't done so already, please do check out our 'Class Information' page to familiarise yourself with our new timetable as well as what to remember in Year 3. This will include your pencil case full of the necessary resources for your learning, your water bottles, spelling books and reading books (to be given to you this week) as well as your packed lunch if you need it. The school gates will be open from 8:40am and I will collect you from our line on the playground at 8:45am. We finish at 3:20pm. If anyone is collecting you from school who is NOT a parent, please do let me know.
Wednesdays and Fridays: Please do remember to wear your PE kit with trainers to school on these two days every week. Come rain or shine, we will be doing PE together in the afternoons. I can't wait!
Parents, keep an eye on the Class DoJo to receive regular updates about your child's learning. I will also post the learning on this site every week so you know what your children are learning in school.
Please keep supporting your child with their reading and practising spellings every day. I will encourage the children to change their books when they need to and I will check the reading diaries on a daily basis too, so do write a comment there if you need to. Otherwise, contact me on the DoJo if you ever have any questions or concerns.
I look forward to seeing you all on the playground at 8:45am on Monday by the side gate, ready to come into our new classroom. What fun we are going to have!
