Welcome back after half term. I hope you all had a lovely week, kept safe over the stormy weather and enjoyed the sunshine at the end.

We have a busy first week back!

Tuesday is Shove Tuesday (pancake day) and I have some pancakes for you for your snack!

Wednesday -Reminder for PE kits.

Thursday - World Book day. Are you going to dress up as a book character or a word for us to guess? We'll be dressing up too! During the day we will have the author of 'Polar Bear, Polar Bear' by Joan Keir Burnett coming in to read her published book with us and doing some drama activities around her book.

Literacy - We will be working on 'The Gruffalo'. This will refresh our understanding on adjectives/expanded noun phrases and begin our focus on conjunctions. We will be describing him and his setting. Also, thinking of what else he might come across in the forest, as well as answering comprehension questions about it.

Maths - Year 2 will be working on 'statistics'. We will be creating and interpreting graphs - bar charts and pictograms. Can you carry out a survey at home and record the results in a table using a tally then draw a graph?

Please keep practising your times tables as much as possible.
