This page contains our learning and some activities for the final week of half term but we are also adding a few more activities and ideas to keep you busy on the stormy day or over half term!
This is the last week before half term. This week we are reading and doing lots of activities from the story 'Little Red Riding Hood.' Can we weave and make Little Red Riding Hood's basket? Can we write a list of things to put in her basket?
Can we write a shopping list and buy some food from the fruit and veg shop to bring to Granny?
In maths, we are comparing height-taller and shorter than, comparing length-longer and shorter than, days of the week, measuring height and measuring time e.g. How many times can you write your name in 1 minute.
In phonics this week, we are continuing to learn phase 4. Phase 4 teaches children to blend and segment longer words with adjacent consonants.
In maths we are measuring time. Ask your adult to get a timer ready.
How many jumps can you do in 10 seconds?
How many star jumps in 10 seconds?
How many hops can you do in 10 seconds?
How many times can you write your name in a minute?
Over the half term you could help at home with some baking or cooking. You could help measure the ingredients and stir it all together and then send us a photo of the delicious things you have made.
