In maths this week, we are learning how to identify representations of 1, 2 and 3. We are going to subitise (look at a group of objects and realise how many there are without counting) or count to find how many. We will make our own collections of 1, 2 and 3 objects. We will be matching the number names we say to numerals and quantities.
In our topic work this week, we are looking at different Autumn leaves. We will be using the leaves to make some beautiful art work. We will also be discussing our new topic 'People Who Help Us' and looking at our own families and how they look after us and help us. We will be using salt dough to model and create someone who is helpful to us.
In phonics this week, we will be recapping the sounds we learnt last half term and learning new sounds, j, v, w, x. We will be blending to read words and segmenting to write words with these sounds.
