Literacy

The children are planning and writing their own endings to the story this week.

Maths

The children are finishing the unit on time. It is always helpful if children can practise telling the time at home with analogue as well as digital clocks.

RE

We will be completing our RE unit for the half term all about Moksha in Hinduism.

Computing

The children have enjoyed using micro:bits in year 3. They will be showing us what they can do this week. Year 4s will be bringing their coding unit to an end by debugging a programme.

Art

The children are so excited to be making their sculptures this week. We will begin with clay for the children to get used to the size and shape they want. Then we will be using wire and mod rock, before finally painting the sculptures using acrylic paints.

History

Y3: This is always my favourite lesson to teach; chocolate! The children will love finding out about where chocolate came from.

Y4: We will be learning about Roman Villas this week, finding out how Romans lived and how they organised their homes. We will compare villas to Roman palaces too.

Y5: We will be finding out more about the lost kingdom of Benin.
