Literacy

We will be reading chapter 5 this week of the Iron Man and considering our final piece of writing. The children will  be planning their own stories, drafting and editing before publishing. 

Maths

Y3: Continuing with time, year 3s will be learning about hours, minutes, seconds and combining these units of time to solve problems. 

Y4: Starting our unit on time, Year 4s will be learning about years, month, weeks and days, then converting time from a 24 hour clock and converting to. 

Art

We will begin our sculptures this week, using clay to make a mock up of what we want our sculptures to look like. 

Computing

Y3: Using our micro:bits, we will be creating a range of tools to use in the classroom including thermomotors and pulse recorders.

Y4: The children will be looping code this week.  

History

Y3: We will be learning to write like the Mayans this week looking at the hieroglyphs used by the Mayan. 

Y4: We will be learning about Hadrian's wall and it's significance for the Romans. 

Y5: We will be finding out Eweka using  artefacts. 

RE

We will be exploring stories from Hindu childhood.
