Forest school is Tuesday for year 2.

Literacy - This week we will be using the text 'The Night Pirates'. We will be predicting the next part of the story, describing the characters and retelling the story using past tense. Year 1 will be focusing on using capital letters for names of proper nouns eg people, places and days of the week. Year 2 will be focusing on identifying and beginning to use inverted commas (speech marks).

Phonics - Year 2 will be adding the suffix less to words and learning to spell words where to a makes a /or/ sound.

Year 1

Maths - Year 2 will be finding a quarter, recognising a third, finding a third and finding the whole.

Daily 10 game

Science- Year 1 will be exploring wild and garden plants. Year 2 will be exploring bulbs and seed and considering what plants need to grow.

Design and Technology - This week we will be taste testing (if they would like to try them) different salds eg coleslaw and evaluating them.

Computing - Year 1 will be exploring pictograms. Year 2 will be adding effects to their photos.

History- This week we will be finding out about other pirates like Grace O Malley and Anne Bonny.
