Welcome back, I hope you all had a lovely half term break. 

Year 4s will have Forest Schools this half term on Tuesday afternoons. Please can children wear PE kits to school and bring Forest School clothes in a separate bag. We will be going out in all weathers so remember to pack a waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers and sensible shoes, ideally walking boots or willies instead of trainers. 

Literacy

We will be writing poetry and instructions this half term based on the BFG. At the end of this half term, we will be enjoying a trip to Chichester Festival Theatre to see The BFG performed on stage! 

Maths

We will b learning about fractions this half term. 

DT

The children will be turning their hands to sewing this half term, designing and making their very own bookmarks in time for Wordl Book day in March. 

Geography

Year 3s will be learning about Extreme Earth, natural disasters starting with volcanoes this week. 

Year 4s will be learning about settlements, finding out what settlers need. 

RE

We will be answering the big question, How does believing Jesus is their Saviour inspire Christians to save and serve others?

Computing

Year 3s will be learning to touch type. 

Year 4s will be using the laptops to create their own PowerPoint presentations about a subject of their choice.
