Literacy - This week we will be using the text 'The Squirrels who Squabbled'. We will begin by watching clips about squirrels and considering their movements and appearance and then we will be writing a description of them. We will be reading the story but only half! We will then be predicting what happens next by drawing it and then writing about it.

Phonics - Year 2 - We will be revising the phonics qu, sh, th, ng, ai, ee, igh, oa but with the focus on writing these within words. 

Year 1 - 

Maths - Year 2 will be counting objects to 100 by making 10's, recognising tens and ones, using place value charts, partitioning numbers to 100 and writing numbers to 100 in words.

Year 1 - 

Science - Year 1 will be identifying, naming and drawing parts of the human body. Year 2 will be learning about mammals and birds.

Art - We will be making snail drawings.

History - We will be using a timeline to mark when the children were born, where we are now and when the Great Fire of London was and other significant times within this time period. We will be writing questions about what we want to find out about the Great Fire of London. We will use a map to locate London.

RSHE - We will be considering our feelings.

Computing - Year 1 will be discussing online safety and particularly keeping their password safe. Using their password to log into Purple Mash on the laptops. Year 2 will be considering online bullying in particular using kind words online as well as in person.
