Literacy - This week we will be using the book 'The Storm Whale'. We will be describing the setting using our senses, retelling the story in picture form and then writing the story. We will also be comparing 'The Storm Whale' to the 'Snail and the Whale'. Year 1 

Phonics - Year 2 will be learning the spelling pattern 'tion'. We will also be revising some of the suffixes learnt. 

Year 1 - 

Maths - Year 2 will begin a unit on position and direction. We will be using the language of position, desiring movement, describing turns and then combing movements and turns.

Year 1- 

Science - Year 1 will continue to learn about the season of summer and look at the data collected. Year 2 will be continuing our butterfly diaries and exploring what wildlife does for us?

Computing - Year 1 will be continuing to develop their skills coding. Year 2 will be creating music on the computers with 2sequence music.

Geography - We will be continuing to learn the ocean names and continent names. 

Art - We will be continuing to make our models.
