Swimming Tuesday and Thursday

Literacy - This week we will be using the text 'The Whale's song'. We will be writing questions and answering questions to the characters. We will be writing character profile in full sentences and writing a letter to Grandma. We will also be practising our ability to read and answer questions. 

Phonics - Year 2 will be revising /il/ at the end of a word like pencil. They will also be revising contractions.

Year 1 will be playing some fun phonics games this week.

Maths- Year 2 will be interpreting graphs in intervals of 2, 5 and 10, practising their times tables (2,5,10 and beginning 3). solving missing numbers and making money amounts using different coins.

Year 1 will be learning about money. We will be recogisning different coins and notes, we will then be adding coins together by counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.

Geography - We will be continue to locate and name the oceans and explore the different ocean habitats. 

Art - We will begin to make our architecture. (junk modelling required).

Science - Year 1 will be considering seasonal changes. Year 2 will be adding to their butterfly diary and reflecting in their life cycle learning.

Computing - Year 1 will be developing their skills to code and Year 2 will be creating music on 2sequence.
