Our Historic Dockyard trip is this week.
The last session of forest school for year 2 is this week.
Literacy - This week we will be listening to a range of poems and writing some of our own.We will be writing an acrostic poem and writing some rhyming couplets. We will also be writing a recount of our trip.
Phonics- Year 2 will be adding the suffixes ly, ment and ness to words.
Year 1 - will be continuing to revise the split digraphs, o-e, u-e, aw, ou.
Maths - Year 2 will be continuing to tell the time. We will be telling time to the quarter hours, 5 minute intervals and hours in a day.
Year 1 will be finishing off the topic about fractions and then moving on to our new topic about position and direction.
Science- Year 1 will be observing changes to their plants. Year 2 will be learning about the butterfly life cycle (after half term our caterpillars will arrive so we can observe them growing) and recording their observation from their bulb/ seed investigation.
Design and Technology- This week we will be developing our skills by making a fish salad and a fruit salad.
History - We will be consolidating our learning this term on explorers of the sea and pirates.
