Literacy  - This week we will be writing some instructions. We will be writing instructions for their salads and for ships biscuits. We might even make some to try! We will be using first, next, after, then, finally using commands.

Phonics - Year 2 will be learning the possessive apostrophe for singular possession. 

Year1 will be learning the phase 5 sounds wh, ph and ew.

Maths - Year 2 will be counting in fractions up to a whole and solving mixed fractions of numbers and shapes.

Year 1 are beginning a new topic on fractions. we will be recognising and finding half of a shape and a quantity. 

Science - Year 1 will be exploring trees in the local area. Year 2 will be exploring life cycles of humans and mammals.

History- We will be finding out about Christopher Columbus and why he was significant.
