What an exciting week. This week we are learning about Spring and Easter. We will be going on an Easter egg hunt with words or pictures hidden in our eggs. Can we read the words to our friends? Can we write the words on a white board? We will be decorating eggs and making Easter cards. 

Wednesday we are off to the farm, the children will be writing a list of what they need and bringing it home to share with you.

Thursday we will have a our Easter Church service at 1.15pm at St. Mary's Church, Fittleworth.

Friday is an INSET day. 

In drawing club, we are watching a cartoon clip called Wacky Races. We will be learning new vocabulary such as accelerate, braking, hazard, steering, chuckle, demolish, overtake and transport. We will be drawing mascots, a new vehicle to enter the wacky races and thinking about what we will win if we come first in the race or what if we finish last?

In phonics, this week we will be recapping the phase 3 sounds ure, ear and air and writing sentences with these sounds. The children are working so hard at their writing this term and have made amazing progress.

We are focusing on all the tricky words we have learnt so far. 

In maths, we are learning about 3D shape and looking for these in the environment. We will also be making more complex patterns using pegbords and paint.
