Fittleworth C. E. Village School

Ethos and Values

We believe in the importance of the individual.  Our curriculum aids and develops learning by offering all children a wide range of first hand experiences and allows them time to reflect on these experiences.  This allows children the opportunity to acquire the skills, concepts and knowledge relevant to their individual abilities and interests.

We help children to develop self-respect, respect for their work and property, for other people, for other people’s beliefs and cultures, and for the environment.

We expect high standards of work and behaviour and healthy, enthusiastic attitudes to school and learning.

We aim to create a teaching and learning environment which is happy, secure, stimulating and productive and one in which the children experience success, enjoyment and a sense of ownership and pride in their work.

Learning is a lifelong process for all members of the school community.
